Herding is what the Puli was meant to do. Many of the breed's traits and habits are driven by their need to herd, from barking to nipping at heels to using your livingroom as a jungle gym. You can hone that desire by giving your Puli an opportunity to experience the very activity it is programmed to do.

Usually there are Herding Instinct trials held in each area of Canada at least once or twice a year. There are also herding clinics offered to people who want to go beyond just checking the instinct, they want to learn how to herd with their dog. It is a fascinating and thrilling experience to see your 'couch potato' Puli suddenly start herding by instinct without any prior training.
